Every year thousands of children find themselves involved in legal action, whether it be juvenile delinquency, neglect, or custody disputes. Lawyers who represent young clients must be well versed in the intricacies of trying cases involving children. Using NITA's learning-by-doing method, you will practice-and perfect-your skills in these unique cases. The program covers direct cross examinations, working with child witnesses, impeachment, foundations and predicates. You will have the opportunity to perform in these areas and have those performances critiqued by the experienced and public service dedicated NITA faculty.
This program is offered at a substantially reduced tuition rate in an effort to provide quality training to all lawyers working on cases involving children, including GALs, public prosecutors, public defenders, respondent parent's counsel and other family court practitioners.
Cost: $150
