Join the Brooklyn Young Mothers' Collective (BYMC) in celebrating the creation of the Septima Poinsette Clark Law Center!

Septima Poinsette Clark was an educator and civil rights activist who strove to teach her students how to act collectively and protect their rights as citizens. The advent of the Clark Law Center will forward BYMC's mission by educating Brooklyn's pregnant and parenting teens through free monthly community legal education seminars on topics such as consumer law, family court proceedings, and juvenile justice.

The Clark Law Center kicks off on August 5, 2008, 4:00 - 6:00 at the First Unitarian Congregational Society, 50 Monroe Place, in Brooklyn Heights with a seminar on Legal and Personal Issues in Violence in Dating Relationships conducted by the Urban Justice Center.
