In this two-part training, attorneys will be trained to represent inMotion clients in divorce proceedings. Procedural and substantive aspects will be discussed in detail. A training manual and sample documents will be provided.

An uncontested or a litigated divorce case will be assigned at the training or shortly thereafter. Attorneys can work on the case individually or as part of a team of two or more attorneys. Assigned pro bono uncontested divorce cases will not require court appearances; judgment is granted following the submission of the appropriate documents. Assigned litigated divorce cases will require at least one court appearance. Part I issues to be addressed will include: drafting of both initial and final papers and service of process issues, and will include an interactive question and answer session to address issues that may arise in individual cases.
