The 2nd National Pro Bono Conference will be one Vancouver-based event of many related to National Pro Bono Week 2008. It will build on the successes of Building Bridges to Justice, the 1st National Pro Bono Conference held in Toronto in 2006.

Other Vancouver-based National Pro Bono Week 2008 events will include:

• A full-credit Pro Bono Practice CLE on skills and resources relevant to pro bono lawyers and poverty law practitioners;
• Free open-air pro bono legal advice clinics provided by BC pro bono service providers, to be held over three consecutive days at Victory Square Park;
• A free Non-Profit Law Seminar for non-profit organizations of limited means; and
• A "Pro Bono Speed-Dating Session" that will bring together representatives of local and national law firms and non-profit organizations in order to foster new pro bono partnerships.
