Family Law Training for New Volunteers

What: The purpose of this intensive, all-day training is to give participants an introduction to the theoretical and practical bases of California family law. Several of the court forms used in dissolution and establishment of paternity cases are reviewed. At the beginning of the day, attendees will receive the Center's updated 900 page "Assisting the Limited Income Client in Family Law Matters" manual which provides detailed
information about family law procedures and pleadings.
Cost: $85 for participants who commit to volunteering (fee includes the Center's manual) $85 Non-Profit organizations (limit 2 people per agency) $25 Law students and Spanish interpreters (does not include manual) $175 All others
