MFY LEGAL SERVICES, INC.
PRIVATE PLACEMENT ADOPTION AND GUARDIANSHIP TRAINING

MFY's Kinship Caregiver Law Project was created to help stabilize families, promote children's security, and help prevent children from entering the foster care system. Approximately 300,000 children in New York City are currently cared for by relatives, primarily grandparents. Pro bono attorneys are needed to provide full legal representation at guardianship and adoption proceedings.

The training will be held:
September 27, 2007
4:30 PM - 7:30 P.M.

SHEARMAN & STERLING LLP
599 LEXINGTON AVENUE
New York, New York, 10022

To reserve placement, please contact:

This training will educate and prepare attorneys on how to handle private placement adoption and guardianship proceedings in family court. It is expected that participating associates will accept a case for representation. Throughout the course of the representation, mentoring and technical support, including screening clients and reviewing drafted court papers, will be available.
