Organization Description:
Legal Aid of Sonoma County's mission is to reduce the number of women, children and families in Sonoma County who are physically and emotionally abused, lack stable homes, and lack the means to support themselves.
LASC provides assistance to low-income families and individuals primarily in family law matters and eviction defense. LASC's programs include: Community Education Workshops, Court Preparation Workshop, Pro Bono Referral Panel, Home Loss Prevention Project, Information and Referral Program, Welfare to Work Project, Services for Domestic Violence Victims, and Crisis Legal Advocacy Center. Volunteer attorneys provide unbundled and full representation, edvice and community education presentations. Experienced volunteers mentor new practitioners.
