Organization Description:
Senior Law Project works to ensure that the elderly of Lake and Mendocino Counties are afforded the legal rights and benefits necessary to live healthy, secure and dignified lives with maximum possible autonomy and independence.
Senior Law Project provides free legal assistance to Lake and Mendocino County seniors (age 60+). Counseling and representation are provided in the following areas:
Elder Abuse, Public Benefits (health, income & supportive services), Housing Rights, Consumer Protection & Debt
Senior Law Project practices preventive law by helping elders plan for incapacity and long-term care.
Community education and advocacy efforts allow us to reach significant numbers of individuals and to affect the institutions, agencies and systems serving the elderly.Senior Law Project is a non-profit corporation that provides free legal advice and representation to the elderly, including legislative and administrative representation of individual clients.
