Organization Description:
The mission of the Disability Rights Education and Defense Fund is to advance the civil and human rights of people with disabilities through legal advocacy, training, education, and public policy and legislative development.
Founded in 1979 by a unique alliance of people with disabilities and parents of children with disabilities, the Disability Rights Education and Defense Fund, Inc. (DREDF) is a national non-profit law and policy center dedicated to protecting and advancing the civil rights of people with disabilities. We carry out our mission through legislative, litigation, advocacy, and education and training activities. We seek pro bono lawyers to co-counsel impact litigation cases.
