The Korean Resource Center (KRC, ????) was founded in 1983 to empower Korean American community, low-income immigrant and people of color communities through a holistic model that combines education, social services, and culture with effective community advocacy and organizing. KRC is guided by the principles Live Rightly, Know our Roots, Empower Ourselves, and Live in Harmony.
Program
The Korean Resource Center (KRC) is seeking interns to work in the Immigrant Rights Program (IRP). KRC's Immigrant Rights Program was established to build up the voice of the Korean community through increased civic participation. To this end, KRC offers naturalization application assistance and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) application assistance.
Position
The IRP Intern will help KRC's IRP team process naturalization and DACA applications and give support to the IRP Staff Attorney. The IRP Intern's duties includes but is not limited to, helping to manage the DACA information hotline, conducting intake for potential DACA applicants, giving application assistance and providing administrative support in the overall execution of naturalization and DACA related activities.
